Keep myScribe in your Dock or taskbar
Steps 2 and 3 of the desktop setup page (Settings → Appearance → Set up desktop app). Install myScribe first (step 1). If you started the install from the setup page, the new app window opens the page again here.
Mac: Keep it in your Dock.
- While myScribe is open, find its icon in the Dock (it has a small dot under it).
- Right-click it (or hold Control and click), then choose Options → Keep in Dock.
Or open Finder → Applications → Chrome Apps (Edge Apps for Edge) and drag myScribe onto the Dock. Apps added from Safari with Add to Dock are already there.
Windows: Pin it to your taskbar. Installing adds myScribe to the Start menu on its own.
- While myScribe is open, right-click its icon on the taskbar.
- Choose Pin to taskbar.
To pin it to Start as well, press the Windows key, type myScribe, right-click the result and choose Pin to Start.
myScribe cannot see your Dock or taskbar, so choose Done: it's pinned when finished, or Skip this step. If the page shows the wrong computer's steps, use the Mac / Windows switch under the checklist.
Step 3: Choose how it looks. Pick Light, Dark or Device (follows your computer), and a text size: Default, Large, Larger or Largest. Changes apply as you click; Looks good ticks the step. These are the same settings as Settings → Appearance.
