iPhone call recordings: bring audio into Library
In Record Audio → Meeting, choose How to import an iPhone call for the illustrated guide. It opens only when selected and does not start recording.
- Use Apple's More → Call Recording where supported, with any required participant permission. Apple announces recording. For a past conversation, open only the recording you intend to import in Notes → Call Recordings. Choose More → Save Audio Files to keep its audio in Files. Choose the audio, not the note or copied transcript.
- In Safari, sign in to your own account at app.myscribe.co. Choose Library → Import (+) → Upload media → Preview audio before importing. In the illustrated guide on the website, Choose audio opens the same picker. Choose one M4A, MP3, WAV, AAC, CAF or AIFF file, maximum 50 MB.
- The preview shows the signed-in account and lets you play the actual audio locally. Nothing uploads yet. A local browser copy is kept for retry; Safari can clear site storage, so keep your original. On a shared device, remove local copies when finished. Choosing the same file again in this account reopens its retained local copy rather than adding another.
- Choose Import and transcribe to save a private recording and request transcription, summary and tasks using your current owner-specific AI-sharing/background choices. Processing can consume plan allowances or incur usage charges. No manual API key is needed. Saved confirms a Library receipt; processing accepted does not mean finished. Open the saved recording to check results.
Resume or pause. Keep for later closes the preview. During a transfer, Pause import stops the foreground wait and retains the local retry identity; processing already accepted may continue. Reopen Audio kept in this browser — review, or choose Resume local audio in the picker. A saved item can offer Start transcription; after an uncertain request, open the saved recording before retrying. Another tab cannot claim the same local processing launch twice. The receipt stays bound to the original account and workspace; switch back to finish it. Deduplication does not cover independent devices or a new selection after removing the retained copy.
Remove this local copy only removes the browser's staging copy. It does not remove the original in Notes/Files or a saved Library recording. If browser storage is unavailable/full, selection fails before upload; keep the original and use a browser tab with available local storage. Do not clear site storage as a way to retry an unconfirmed upload.
The installed native app keeps its existing Upload media flow; a website deployment does not add the separate native file receiver. The guide's Open Library button still opens Library. Availability of Apple's call recording depends on iOS version, language and region; see Apple's call-recording instructions. This is a manual selected-file import, not automatic access to Notes, an installed Shortcut, or a background collection of past calls.
