Refresh your workspace

If a workspace data load cannot finish, a refresh bar appears near the top of the app. Its short heading varies, but the action is always Refresh workspace.

  1. Choose Refresh workspace to reconnect and re-sync recordings, tasks, and project links in place. You stay on your current tab; this does not reload the browser page or restart a recording.
  2. To keep working, choose Dismiss refresh reminder (the × button). The next time you switch an app tab or project, myScribe retries in the background while opening your selection.
  3. A successful data load clears the reminder. If the retry cannot reconnect, the bar returns with Refresh workspace available again. Check your connection and try when ready.

On touch screens, pull down from the top of the workspace and release to refresh. The page returns to its normal position on release, while the loading scene stays visible for at least three seconds and until the refresh finishes. Another pull during that refresh does not start a duplicate. On success, a brief completion effect slides away; if refreshing fails, check your connection and pull again after the error message clears. Reduce Motion keeps the scene still and skips the completion burst. This minimum display time applies only to manual pull-to-refresh; opening Library and automatic background loads have no added delay. Pulling inside a dialog, slider, or separately scrolling list does not refresh the workspace.

The bar is a data-sync reminder. It does not confirm that a new software release or security update has been installed. Separate microphone, recording, and save errors still show their own messages.
