AI sharing: voice and typed permission
Review which services may receive your data for voice, typed assistance, recording processing and imports. Optional search, precise location and background permission are separate choices. Account, settings and deletion controls remain available if you refuse. Microphone access, billing approval and import/participant permissions are separate.
Open your avatar → Profile → AI sharing. Check choices opens Your AI choices, a read-only summary of each service's saved On/Off and background state. Change choices opens the editor. Review AI sharing offers one Enable all AI features checkbox covering all disclosed services and eligible background permissions, including optional search and location recipients. A new full review starts with this package selected as a draft; Allow AI sharing is required to save it. See services and customize expands individual controls. Existing saved partial choices and withdrawals are not silently expanded. Saving profile choices ends calls and typed requests on this device. Viewing, closing or cancelling does not grant permission.
Choose Withdraw AI permission → Confirm withdrawal to end local calls/typed requests and block later dispatch under the old permission. Keep my choices cancels. Other devices stop when they next verify. If confirmation fails, local requests end but account withdrawal is unconfirmed; Check choices before choosing again. Withdrawal does not delete content; Delete account is separate.
Before a streamed typed request, Before your AI request checks permission. It shows the needed processor, purpose and data that may be sent for this request, including attached photos and relevant app context. Choose Agree and continue to permit that processing. Voice uses Before your voice call with its own processor and data. Neither confirmation adds optional services or background permission; use Profile → AI sharing → Review AI sharing if you want detailed service choices. Not now or closing leaves the request unstarted. A changed disclosure requires a fresh choice. myScribe does not sell your data or use it for advertising; it does send the disclosed data to the listed service to provide the feature. Transfers use an encrypted connection. This is not end-to-end encryption or a promise about a provider's retention or training settings.
The full Enable all AI features package includes optional search scopes. Narrow voice/typed confirmations still add only the requested scope. Public web search in typed chat is used only when both your chat preference and the saved Search the public web in typed chat scope allow it; otherwise typed chat continues without that lookup. A voice web-search choice does not authorize typed web search. Optional library search during calls uses additional language/embedding processing. The typed scope includes attached photos and relevant app context, as described in the confirmation.
Unallowed scopes stay unavailable. Conversation-starter and follow-up generation use your existing typed choice; they do not open a permission prompt automatically. If suggestions are missing, review Profile → AI sharing or send a typed request to review the disclosure.
Provider privacy details. The public Privacy Policy lists the processing services and links their current handling terms. Retention and training protections can depend on provider account settings and contracts; an AI-sharing choice does not establish those protections. New Deepgram transcription requests request exclusion from its Model Improvement Program. URL imports ask Jina Reader not to cache or log the request and do not request generated image captions. These controls do not delete earlier provider copies. Queued work needs the separate background permission described above.
